Over the past 6 years Turkey has become one of the most popular holiday resorts in Europe and with all the facilities it has to offer and the cheap holiday bargain deals available it is easy to see why it has become so popular. There is approximately a 6000 mile stretch of coastline on offer in Turkey which incorporates the The Agean Sea, The Mediterrean Sea and the Black Sea.wtih crystal clear waters and lots of beach activities to choose from making turkey a great holiday for families, couples and singles alike.

Turkey is a great place to go on your holiday, it has golden sandy beaches, very hot climate, famous turkish baths and lots of history, as well as bargains galore to be had in the many bazaars. Turkey has retained its own currency, making it a very cheap destination to go on holiday. There are many resorts in Turkey which are all on the coast, one of the most popular is Bodrum. This resort has its own harbour and if you really feel like pushing the boat out you can enjoy a gulet cruise around Turkey. Bodrum has something for everyone from its traditional Bed and Breakfast hotels to its 5 Star luxurious All Inclusive hotels. It also has a very vibrant nightlife with a great variety of pubs and clubs. Neighboring resort Gumbet offers a quieter pace of life again with a great sandy beach and a trickle of restaurants and bars. Gumbet is only five kilometres away from Bodrum which gives you the choice to have the best of both worlds from one location. Bodrum also has its own port where you can hop on the boat and visit the Greek island of Kos which is a great day out . If you prefer to be among lots of English holidaymakers, and in a resort that caters mainly for the Enlish guest then Kusadasi is the resort for you to choose.

For those of you who prefer a spot of sightseeing and the more traditional Turkey then its over to The Meditterean coast to Antalya which also offers a much slower pace of life in the resorts of Alanya, Side and Belek. These resorts also attract lots of guests worldwide because of the ancient and historical sights and stunning beaches.

The most popular resort in Turkey is Marmaris which is always a firm favourite because of its exciting nightlife, popular beaches and great shopping. Just a few kilometres from Marmaris is the quieter resort of Icemeler which has a golden stretch of beach. The most famous resort in Turkey for its beach is Olu Deniz which is said to be the most photographed beach in the world and has been used for many famous films. Then there are the market towns of Hissaronou and Fethiye, which are located a few kilometres from Olu Deniz which both offer a more traditional Turkish resort.

Whichever resort you choose in Turkey the cuisine is second to none, their famous dish Pilay, which can only be made to perfectionn in Turkey, the freshly caught and cooked fish and our favourite the traditional Kebab. Then that’s not to forgetting to wash it all down with Turkey’s traditional drink Raki which is a great kickstart to any evening or to the end of any great holiday in Turkey.
